Birds of the Merri Merri

Event description

Come and join a birding walk along the merri merri with Ann McGregor from Friends of Merri Creek. Ann has been twitching along the merri merri for as long as she has been campaigning and saving it from development for us to enjoy - which is a long time! She is a wealth of knowledge and shares it in an accessible and fun way.

For this walk we'll be leaving from our East Coburg house, wandering south to Moreland road, then north up to the Harding street footbridge, before coming back through Egan Reserve to NECCHI.

Ann will provide some binoculars, but please bring your own if you have them, and a notebook and pen if that's your thing! Also please wear sensible footwear and weather appropriate clothing.

Ann McGregor is one of the founders of the Friends of Merri Creek and has been campaigning to clean it up and save if from development since the 70's. Her knowledge of birds and other non-human species of the creek is something to be cherished.
