Please sign my petition to put some sort of pedestrian crossing between Barry Becket and Newlands Community Centre on Murray Road.  Crossing on the corner of Murray and Elizabeth road can be really dangerous because of the turning lane.  The other day my daughter was nearly run over crossing on her bicycle at these lights.  People frequently cross at the proposed crossing spot, in red on the below map, with no pedestrian crossing and this can be quite tricky.  The only other spot to cross safely is 600 metres in the other direction near the Olympic swimming pool.
